Marijuana (Cannabis) Withdrawal
Abuse/Dependence on any of the following drugs may produce the Cannabis withdrawal syndrome during a period of abstinence: Bhang, Cannabis, Charas, Colombian Gold, Ditch Weed, Dope, Ganja, Hashish, Kief, Marijuana, Mexican Gold, Pot, Sinsemilla, Skunk, Thai Sticks, THC, Weed
Various symptoms of Marijuana withdrawal may appear during a period of abstinence from the drug. Some or all may be present. When symptoms start they may be mild but as the syndrome progresses they may become severe. It is not possible for a healthy individual to die from marijuana withdrawal. However, it could be dangerous for people with heart disease or an underlying psychiatric illness so individuals with these conditions should seek medical attention. Treatment of marijuana withdrawal with medications is rarely necessary
Marijuana Withdrawal Symptoms Include:
- Irritability
- Anger
- Depressed mood
- Headaches
- Restlessness
- Anxiety
- Panic
- Lack of appetite
- Cravings
- Emotional Distress
- Bad Dreams
- Insomnia
- Worsening of an underlying psychiatric or medical condition
