Nicotine Withdrawal

Abuse/Dependence on any of the following nicotine containing products may produce the same type of withdrawal syndrome during a period of abstinence: American Moist Snuff, Bidis, Chewing Tobacco, Cigarettes, Cigars, Commit Lozenges, Copenhagen, Dipping Tobacco, Habitrol, Nicoderm, Nicogel, Nicorette, Nicotine Gum, Nicotine Inhaler, Nicotine Lozenge, Nicotine Patch, Nicotine Spray, Nicotine Sublingual Tablet, Nicotini, Nicotrol Inhaler, Nicotrol Inhaler, Nicotrol NS, Nicotrol NS Nasal, Nicotrol NS Spray, Red Man, Skoal, Snuff, Snus, Spit Tobacco

Symptoms of nicotine withdrawal:

  • Irritability
  • Impatience
  • Hostility
  • Anxiety
  • Depressed mood
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Restlessness
  • Decreased heart rate
  • Increased appetite or weight gain
  • Nicotine craving
  • Drowsiness,
  • Tension
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Disturbed Sleep
  • Constipation
  • Tingling Sensations
  • Poor Concentration
  • Productive Cough
  • Worsening of an underlying psychiatric disorder
